You have many personas, too!

Following up on my post on a line from Grease, I would like to point out something else that is much more relevant to guys who don't get anywhere with women: you can change the way you look! In Grease there is a nice example with the character of Daisy Dee who transforms a little angel into a bit of a dirty whore, looks-wise.

Here is the before:

...and here the after:

Watch the video, too, if you have a few minutes to spare! Of course, a woman dressing like that wants a man that keeps her (sexually) satisfied.

This is just an example. The point is simply that women can change their look a lot by changing their hairdo, makeup, and clothes. In fact, some women you may not even recognize in the 'after' picture. Maybe some of you have experienced this if you have female fellow students or colleagues who like to get a lot of dick like to party, and have to look proper during the day. It may happen that you bump into them in a club and it takes you a moment or two to recognize them.

Guys are a bit more limited in that matter. Normally your hair is shorter, growing a beard takes a lot of time, and makeup is a no-no anyway. Besides, clothing styles for men don't have the same variety as for women. This means that you will be a lot more limited with regards to expressing different 'personas'. Still, there is a lot you can do. For instance, my regular office clothing is far different from my outfit when going out. In fact, I occasionally to turn up the 'loser vibe' quite a bit, probably looking as if I haven't gotten my dick sucked in years if ever. You will be severely limited, just like any overweight woman is, to change your appearance a lot if you are out of shape. On the other hand, if you are in decent physical shape, you have a lot of possibilities.

  1. I thought I could add some value to this blog post as well since it touches a good topic.

I'm really into fitness. I know there's a lot of guys out there that think that they are stuck being fat or that the effort is too much to lose weight, and you've covered that topic extensively already Aaron.

And on the other side of the coin, plenty of skinny guys think they cannot possibly bulk up. In both cases, it's that same mindset of identifying with your currently flawed self, as in "This is who I am, there is nothing I can do about it."

That mindset seems to be one of the biggest limiting factors to getting started to working on your looks. Even worse, some guys who are ugly now actually have really good looking faces, but they're too overweight to truly see that.

For an example how much one guy can change, here's a guy who not only lost weight, but changed his entire style:

    What a transformation.

If you couple weight loss/muscle gain with a sense of style, you're automatically better looking than most men out there. It's just that a lot of guys see themselves as ugly now, not realizing how good they could really have it, or even what they're real genetic gifts are.

Thought that would help show the reality of your blog post and how correct you are.

I also had a few questions though Aaron, I posted it on your forum, but thought I could discuss here for a bit.

What's your take on the Los Angeles club scene, and how effective is being a club promoter for getting girls and having fun? Any methods to club promoting you can offer? (I know some approach on the street and get numbers, but I don't know if that would be a waste of time). I'm under the drinking age, thought I'd ask someone more experienced!

Also one more question, I bought Minimal Game for Kindle, I really dig it, I'm at the part about contact to meeting up.

Your book is helping me decide where to move to, and had to ask your opinion:
If I live on the beach, warm weather year round, and have good fundamentals and muscles, how likely is it to find interested girls on that beach and bring them to my apartment that same day for us to get laid? Don't bank on it or sounds like a solid plan?

  2. P.S. My bad for posting my club promoter questions here, didn't see the open thread for May. Feel free to ignore my questions then, didn't mean to hijack this thread!:)
